Premarin-based treatment:It can be used either as a mast cell agonist or as a progesterone receptor antagonist.Lignocaine based symptom reducer:Lignocaine based symptom reducer (containing benzocaine) can be used to relieve moderate to severe pain or reduce the frequency of intercourse without compromising the desired result. It can be also used to reduce the risk of gynaecomastia (widen, irritation at mast cells) which can be more significant than it was in patients who were at increased risk.Benzocaine based symptom relief:In combination with Premarin, Lignocaine based symptom reducer can alleviate symptoms such as pain, difficulty in passing urine, and increased breast volume in men, and can be used to relieve symptoms such as pain, discomfort, and tenderness.
Dosage:
Health and safety:The common side effects associated with the use of estrogen-based medication include headache, nausea, dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps), and vaginal dryness. These side effects are usually mild and subside with the dose increasing slowly. These symptoms are more likely in the first few months of treatment and are more likely to occur if the dosage is changed frequently. Especially for patients with pre-existing heart problems, these symptoms should be assessed regularly.
Safety:It is not known whether these medications are causing any side effects in patients. The use of estrogen-based estrogen medications should be avoided in patients with anastrozole (Ajalveda), oestrogen plus progestin regimen, which is not recommended in combination with estrogens as it can result in excess risk of endometrial cancer. These conditions are also associated with prolonged pain, and are usually mild and self-tended. Self-tolerance exists and Premarin is contraindicated in these conditions. The use of estrogen based hormonal contraceptives should also be avoided, as they can have a large risk of hormonal imbalance, including increased estrogen levels. The combination of these two products can result in abnormal bleeding and may even increase the risk of pre-existing hormonal conditions such as ovarian cysts.
Side effects:Although very common, in particular moderate to severe acne, there are some common side effects such as abnormal vaginal bleeding and spotting, hot flushes, and mood changes. These side effects should be reviewed regularly with a doctor and managed under medical supervision under the guidance of a physician. The use of estrogen-containing medication is not recommended in patients with pre-existing heart conditions.
Disorders of the gastrointestinal tract:Hypersensitivity, bleeding or thrombosis, heart disease, and low platelet count. This should be addressed when administering estrogens, when treating uterine cancer in men with a history of ischemic heart disease. Concomitant administration of hormone medications such as oral contraceptives, and other hormonal forms of therapy, in women with polycystic ovary disease should be considered, as they can have a dangerous effect on the effectiveness of hormonal therapy. This should be considered when treating female infertility, and lifestyle choices can be considered when managing estrogens use. Lack of liver function: Patients with liver disease should avoid Premarin, as it can increase the serum level of estrogen in the body and this can cause side effects, including liver toxicity. In patients with moderate to severe hyperthyroidism (stomatotropin-releasing hormone agonist deficiency), there is currently no data on the use of Premarin in combination with lignocaine based symptom relievers, and other symptom treatments. These should be discussed with a doctor and managed under medical guidance.
